FHS STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

The Franklin Educational Foundation offers six different scholarships for graduating high school seniors from Franklin High School in Franklin, Wisconsin.  The application is a standardized online form.
 
Items that will need to accompany the application are electronic copies of the following:

  • Acceptance letter to an accredited post-secondary program.
  • Latest high school transcript.  
  • Resume listing activities outside of school.
  • A recommendation letter from at least one person who can speak to the skills outlined below in the descriptions for each scholarship. This can be a teacher, employer, or community member. We do not recommend using a family member.
  • The essay can be submitted electronically in the form.  Essays will be evaluated on content, creativity, grammar, and punctuation. 
 
Applications are due by midnight on April 8, 2026. Scholarship winners will be announced at the Senior Honors Night on May 20 at the Saber Center.

Community Service

This award will be given to a graduating senior from Franklin High School who demonstrated dedication to community service and will continue to work to benefit the greater good in the future. Submit an essay describing a community service initiative which has been particularly meaningful to you, your role in the project, and how you envision yourself continuing service in the future.

Engineering
This award will be given to a graduating senior from Franklin High School who plans to pursue a degree in an engineering-related field. Submit an essay detailing your interest in pursuing a career in engineering and what you hope to achieve with an engineering degree. 

Fine Arts
This award will be given to a graduating senior from Franklin High School who plans to pursue a degree in an arts-related field, which includes performance, music, dance, photography and visual arts. Submit an essay detailing the path you've taken to excel in your particular art and how you plan to use your art in the future.

Future Educators
This award will be given to a  Franklin High School student who plans to pursue teaching at the preschool to high school level.  Submit an essay detailing your interest in pursuing a career in education and how this award will help you to continue serving others through education.

Health Occupations
This award will be given to a graduating senior from Franklin High School who plans to pursue a degree in healthcare occupations. Submit an essay outlining your plans for the future, how you developed your interest in the healthcare field, and how this award will be of help to you as you pursue your future goals.

Skilled Trades Interview 
This scholarship is to assist a graduating Franklin High School senior who will continue education in the skilled or vocational trades training/certification immediately following his or her high school graduation.  Students need to be nominated by a FPS staff member and nominations sent to Mr. Keith Decker at Keith.Decker@Franklin.k12.wi.us. Students applying for the Skilled Trades scholarship will be interviewed
